Art's Canopy Care Fund
When you receive your invoice, you can choose to add an optional 2.5% contribution to Art's Canopy Care Fund, our company community program. The Fund supports our crew in emergencies and gives back to Sarasota through free storm cleanup for vulnerable residents, native tree replanting, and scholarships for local students entering tree care. Contributions are entirely optional and are not tax-deductible.
The same care we bring to the trees, we bring to our people and our neighbors.
Art's Canopy Care Fund is a dual-purpose community and corporate relief initiative. It was built to create a strong protective canopy over the people who keep Sarasota green. It gives our internal team a financial safety net, and it actively helps restore and protect the local environment across Sarasota and Manatee County.
The idea is simple. The same care we bring to the trees, we bring to our people and our neighbors.
Team Care: Relief for Our Crew
This branch is a confidential emergency fund designed to protect our workforce from sudden, unforeseen financial hardship. Tree work is demanding, and life can be unpredictable. This fund is here so that a crisis at home does not become a financial catastrophe.
What Team Care provides:
- Emergency grants. Direct, non-repayable financial assistance for team members facing sudden crises, such as a serious personal medical bill, funeral costs, or emergency travel.
- Disaster recovery. Fast-tracked relief funding for employees whose primary home suffers catastrophic damage from a hurricane or severe local storm.
- Confidential administration. Requests are handled through an independent review framework, so employee privacy is protected and every request is treated fairly.
- PTO sharing pool. Teammates can choose to contribute accrued vacation hours to a coworker facing an extended medical leave.
Canopy Care: Impact for Sarasota
This public-facing branch turns everyday tree work into direct, local environmental and civic support across Sarasota and Manatee County.
What Canopy Care does in the community:
- Emergency storm relief. After a major storm, we direct fund resources, equipment, and crew labor to clear hazardous fallen trees for low-income seniors, veterans, and residents with disabilities.
- Urban replanting program. We replace lost canopy by funding and planting native, wind-resistant Florida trees, such as live oaks and gumbo-limbos, in under-canopied and lower-income neighborhoods.
- Sarasota workforce scholarships. We fund training, equipment, and testing fees for local youth and vocational students pursuing careers in arboriculture and environmental science.
- Community cleanup. The Fund supports free storm cleanup for vulnerable residents and native tree replanting in under-canopied Sarasota neighborhoods.
