A tree on or against a structure or vehicle. A tree leaning where it was not leaning before. Broken limbs hanging over where people walk or park. A split trunk. A tree down across your driveway or blocking your entrance. If it threatens people or property right now, call, day or night.

What should you do while you wait?

Keep everyone away from the tree, including pets. Do not touch a tree that is in contact with any power line, and report line contact to the utility. Do not cut anything yourself: storm-damaged wood is loaded with tension and can spring, roll, or drop without warning. Take photos from a safe distance if you can; they help with insurance. Then leave the dangerous part to us.
